I read with interest your comments.
Derren is a good friend of mine and I am by no means impersonating
him. As a professional performer working in what is generally known
as "mentalism", Derren's style is very popular, and is what
audiences are most interested in. Having studied psychology and
worked as a counsellor, my job has been working directly with
people. There was obviously a natural gap for me to work more
directly with psychology and mentalism, that Derren is now popular
for. I would encourage Sang to not be so overly protective of
Derren. Contacting management et al wastes everyone's time. And,
as JD quite rightly says, Derren is not the only one working in this
type of style/field. Kenton Knepper is perhaps the most obvious
example.
Anyway, I don't want to cause bad vibes; I just felt it was
necessary to cool the water a bit.
