Firstly I really don't think DB has anything to worry about just
yet. There is room for only one television entertainer peddling the
whole psychological illusionist tag and frankly DB is at the top of
his art. No one I've seen or heard of comes close to him in terms
his presence as a performer. So maybe Mr Rose can steal the mantle
but I wouldn't bank on it. Having said I've never seen him perform
but I'm setting the video for this evening so I might soon be in a
position to comment...
Secondly, DB is not the only person in the world doing what he does.
There are hundreds of people doing basically the same thing
(although, admittedly not as well) so we shouldn't think that he has
a monopoly on the performance of mentalism. I don't think, for
instance, that the term "psychological illusionist" originated with
DB.
Thirdly (and unrelatedly!) the most bizarre usage of this site to
date has been the promotion (wittingly and unwittingly) of an escort
service...DB will be exceedingly entertained...
