Subject: To daz rythmn.
I haven't tried this technique but I was always
taught to find the root memory and help the patient view
it in a more adult and logical way. I think that a
quick fix has the chance of just covering over the fear
and making it surface in a new way which is just as
bad. For instants telling someone who is scared of
going out side into the street and being around people
that they will feel comfortable around over and out
side will cure the original problem but it will pop up
as a new fear that is similar to the original like a
fear of travelling in a car or bus. There's no point
moving from one fear to another just trying to hide them
that's what makes them into phobias.
