Subject: Re: anchor - ANSWER, EXAMPLE AND APPLICATION by terry

To be as direct as possible...

"are anchors transferable?" Yes.

Example - Spider phobia ...a person with such a phobia doesn't need
to see the same daddy/mummy long legs for the phobia responses
(anchored responses) to kick in. :o)

How to do it - Dont make the anchor something YOU MUST DO...ie the
anchor "every time you hear MY voice you will X"...obviously, in this
example, the anchor you are setting is "Your voice specifically" -
which another person does not have. (someone merely "making a voice"
that sounds kinda like your, won't work. The wont have your nonverbal
cues etc. In other words, when you say something, you do more than
speak)

Something like a "bang on the table" (no puns or double meanings
enter your mind)...is a LITTLE more general and can be applied by
others too.

Specific colours are good transfereable anchors.

"Notice that as you look around the room, you notice the something
blue and as you do, you may begin to notice you blink more. You may
take your time to notice this now, are you do it now?"

Now, everytime someone else, other than Terry, mentions "blue" you'll
think of blinking. You see? :o) What colour is chelsea's home
colour? ....great.

Does this work?...well time will tell, as someone says the
word "blue", you'll remember this post and specifically my words
here, and as you are there, you can remember to blink. (to all
readers)

Regards Terry

blue (maybe even the word BLUE works too...:o) I don't know)
