Subject: Not As Clever as he Thinks he is
I must admit I hadn't heard of Derren Brown before this weekend, and
saw the show for the first time.
I think his showmanship is first-class, but the use of flattery still
somewhat jarring and slightly unskilled to my ear. It seemed to stick
out a mile. I also think that most of the guinea pigs looked somewhat
naive and suggestible, but then that is the TV researcher's mission!
On the plus side he did come across as a genuinely good guy (not sure
about these 'sexy' tags though)
