This book contains an incredible amount of information on presentation and
surely without good presentation DB (or any magician/mentalist/performer)
is nothing!?

As an MC example, let's take the obvious 'pick pocketing' routine. DB says
something like "i grip one wrist firmly whilst removing the watch from the
other" - this is MISDIRECTION. You don't try to take the watch without
being felt, you just give the body a more significant stimuli to detract
from the gag.

Pure Effect and The Devils Picturebook, give dozens of different approaches
and tips to misdirection for all occasions - and they ALL work on MOST
people, with humerous regularity.

Also, if you pay the going rate for a first edition of Pure Effect, you
will find two of the MC gags explained in detail! (allegedly - I do not own
a 1st Ed. copy myself)

That's an incredible statisic... 90% you say??
May I ask what YOU mean when you say "nonsense"?
To me "nonsense" is something that does not make sense, but of course, just
because is does not make sense to me, doesn't make it wrong. In fact, if
it doesn't make sense to me, then I was probably just 'not smart enough' to
understand it! I would say that only about 13.2% of what is posted here
makes no sense to me - and 91.3% of _that_ is fan mail.

Could you give a GOOD example of some of this nonsense?
I do not mean "my favourite colour is blue" - this is typical fan club mail
and perfectly acceptable in a fan club (which this is).
What I do mean is <deep breath>
'a-plausible-explanation-of-a-DB-presentation-that-is-fundamentally-flawed-in-a-\
unapparent-way-which-could-drastically-misdirect-the-inexperienced-performer-fro\
m-the-actual-approach'
For, without even a single example, you claim falls in to the categories:
# "42.7 percent of all statistics are made up on the spot." [The Hon. W.
Richard Walton, Sr.]
and
# "There are lies, damn lies, and statistics" [Mark Twain]
