"As far as books are concerned, learning to
hypnotise from a book is just a waste of time. You really
need the one to one lessons with a hypnotherapist, or
attend a seminar."

The book I read was a
transcript of a course, think it was called Metamorphosis.
Is that better than a 'How-To'?
Seriously,
though, his doesn't make me a hypnotist -or even a
budding hypnotist; and I've never tried it out on anyone.
I just think it's an interesting subject.
The
one thing I was drawn to more than anything else
about DB's abilities was the 'dead' hand (and the
toothache). Maybe this goes back to watching Harlequin when I
was much younger, seeing Robert Powell influence
people's minds. I remember seeing him moving a lump under
an old lady's skin down to her finger (where he
pretended to cut off the digit), his words about the pain
being orange and that she must tell him if the pain
becomes black being strangely similar to DB's
'blueness'.
If not hypnosis, then it's something I've never seen
before. Therefore of extreme interest.

By the way,
I've got some Paul McKenna audio tapes. Unfortunately
for me, I'm no more confident or assertive, and still
get find work occasionally very stressful. So I guess
either I'm too sceptical or they don't work for
everyone.

By the way again, I hate using BTW.
