I have just bought the book 'the Spirit of NLP'
of amazon.
It is one which i have not read. But
from the text you recited, and the reviews i have
read. It seems to be a very good book.

I think
early in the betting slip posts, i mentioned some of
the points that you have just raised. Only i did not
put it anywhere near so elegantly.

I deduced
and developed my reasoning from hypnosis books and my
interest in instant induction techniques.

It is
clear the difference between NLP/ auto-suggestion and
waking hypnosis, is very slight.

I think good
books on hypnosis , written as far back as 100 years
ago, contain information which i have seen reproduced
again and again in books on NLP.

A good book on
hypnosis is the new Encyclopaedia of stage hypnotism by
Ormond McGill. It has a chapter on waking hypnosis. And
the effects that Derren uses like anaesthetic or
people forgetting their destination are covered quite
conclusively.

There is a good chance that Derren may
have used this book since some of the similarities are
quite strong.

Anyway, It is well worth a read
!!! and is quite hefty weighing in at 606 pages and
39 pounds.

Cheers,
Gordon
