Gordon,

Just a wild query, but can NLP
work with the printed word? I remember Sam Neill in
The Mouth of Madness saying something about the way
the book's written having an effect on him.
Maybe
the use of certain words to keep the pages turning or
to distract the reader (for a whodunnit)?
I know
that I've read a book and been jarred by a word or
statement that just didn't fit, like a bum note in a piece
of music.
