LOL ...I must say that I have really enjoyed Singh's work in the past - I
agree with your comment about his simplistic approach, but for me, that
makes it all the more appealing ...to be able to explain something so
complex in a way that makes it appear simplistic :)

I agree with "well presented tricks" (with one or two particular
exceptions), but I would like to highlight "well presented" ...many will
focus on the word "tricks" and forget what an incredible level of skill
must be inferred from "well presented" ..and this is where Singh falls
flat on his face .."Presentation" is 100% psychology!

Finally, any one who sees Derren and concludes that science is bull, isn't
really going to make a good scientist anyway? ...so all it does is weed out
a few more of the "unworthies"! :) LOL

I am really looking forward to reading the article - thanks Hugo :)

PS. this group has been officially delcared dead by the owner and
moderators, those interested in the "fan" side of things went to
derrenbrown.co.uk; those wanting the 'secrets' went to the new yahoo group
"derren-brown" (note the "-" in the middle) ...I *think* that only the
latter has a place to upload files :( ...anybody please correct me if I am
wrong!
