Funny, that's what I do. I'm impatient like that - I do try to listen
as much as possible, and people generally find it really easy to chat
to me about sensitive issues, however, if there is a conflict of
opinions in a discussion, I'll let the other person know that I want
to speak (by an intake of breath), so they know to finish their
argument and let me have my say. In addition, I may raise my eyebrows
slightly or slightly bring my head up.

Posture tells you a lot about a person and can influence how you're
percieved. From someone who walks around hunched and their head down
could be depressed or lacks confidence, to someone who walks around
with a straight back and looking up, commanding power and presence.
However, I've noticed that people with extremes of these traits can
be seemingly unapproachable or intimidating.

Yum... :o)

I believe this could be (and mistake me if I'm wrong) but more of an
extension on the trait mentioned above, where you take a sharp intake
of breath to let the other person know you want to speak.
By putting your hair in front of your mouth, this
effectively "blocks" the words that would come out of your mouth. It
is as if you want to say something about the situation, but hold
back, since you also want to listen to what the other person has to
say. Very much like a child who tells a lie covers their mouth with
their hand to seemingly block the words.
Interesting that your hair is replaced by the hand when your hair is
short. :)

On looking at some of your posts, it seems you are not easily
intimidated, don't mind speaking your mind, and are brimming self
confidence. I guess these traits are confirmed by your training as a
classical dancer - any dancer has to be somewhat confident in their
appearence and being to do what they do.
I'm not sure if the traits you describe are genetic, however it seems
you've got a firm grip on how to present yourself and a good idea of
what it takes to get on with people as a result of - I believe - self-
confidence.
I guess some people have it, and some people don't. :)
Thanks,
Daniel.
