Im glad that someone agrees with me over the st johns/matthews passion! I fell
in love with it several years back when i heard it on classic fm. unfortunatly
i have the naxos version where the tempo is a little too slow for my liking.
As for the goldberg variations I did get the barenreiter urtext version so
hopefully i'll be able to play it in its unadulterated form(that is assuming
that I read the music correctly!)
I also downloaded the BWV639, which i quite enjoyed, but Wildor's toccata will
always remain my all time organ fave! A nice bit of bach is the Piano con no 6
in f major.

The Goldbergs are great fun to play - you should get hold of the
Barenreuter Urtext if you can, because then you get the original
score - not edited.
BWV 639 - Ich ruf zu Dir is a great organ chorale by Bach. Two
manuals + pedals. Get it from MP3.com - try
http://www.mp3.com/PhantOrg first, otherwise search the whole of
MP3.com.

since im on the subject of classical music and all of you guys seem
to be an educated bunch I was wondering if any of you have any great
classical finds,that are relatively unusual. I ask purely since im
always on the look out for weird and wonderful peices. I dont just
meen the piano stuff. My latest exciting find was Geirr Tveitt's
piano concerto no 1 in f major! But Poulencs ( sorry I cant remember
how to spell it) starbat marter is one of my all time favourites. As
for Opera, im still investigating..."
