I would have thought that people with so much skill at
reading people would have realised that I was joking
about the clothes point...time to recalibrate perhaps?

My one complaint about DB (and it IS just the one) is
that he's given some credibility to NLP Bores who
think that his effects have something to do with what
they've "learnt".

Hello.

My name is Stephen and I'm very interested in NLP.
Infact, I think I may well be one of the "NLP Bore's"
you mentioned who have talked about Derren's methods
in an NLP context in this egroup before! I would like
to know more about what u mean specifically by "NLP
Bores" and what do you mean precisely by

"that his effects have something to do with what
they've "learnt"."

Are you implying that Derren's effects are not related
to what "NLP bores" have learnt at all? If you are,
how specifically do you know this?

I'm really interested in what you have to say because
I've seen things that Derren does which I would
associate with the things I have been taught by Paul
Mckenna and Richard Bandler and so I suppose I've
always taken for granted that Derren uses these
methods in at least some of his techniques.

Now that you have offered your opinion on this, I
realise that I may have been wrong and I want to
understand how precisley I have misunderstood the
reality!

I love learning about new opinions that I haven't
heard about before because I find it gives me a
greater understanding of what Milton Erickson called
"the things which make humans human"!

Best Regards,

Steve.
