Having watched MC1 last night I noticed a few interesting things.
When he was doing the money in the envelopes in the pub, where he put
a cheque for £10000 in one envelope and allowed the guy to choose
which envelope he would give to Derren. It was quite obvious how
Derren emphasised the number 2 when counting from one through to five
and the "ow" sound in a lot of words, and it was the number 2
envelope that the man chose to give to Derren. Still no luck with the
how he guessed the ladies favourite chat up line.
I am now wondering if most of the mind reading tricks Derren does do
not require him to read the signals but to implant a pre-selected
answer in the victim and it is just showmanship on Derrens part to
make it more dramatic. Also with the poker player do you think Derren
used a card force initially when "reading" which cards the players
had chosen to make them more receptive to the poker-hand trick?
