James

Has a really valid point, if a magicician publishes and charges for
his material, its perfectly acceptable for another magicain to
develop the routine....

As for stealing an idea, the two effects in his book that were
removed are very impressive, and very clever, but Derren removed
them for a reason as he still uses them.

On saying that at least one of the ideas is based on something else,
and I think its perfectly acceptable to develop material as long as
you make it new and original! As I have said before Magic should be
enjoyed rather than analysed, unless you plan to perform, and the
truth is Derrens effects take alot of balls, and realistically an
amateur would not perform the material.

If you have to know I would suggest you watch Derren Live and think
laterally, it would be much more rewarding than just copying the
answer from his book! Besides that its illegal, and James could be
sued!!

I perform some effects similar to derren in my routine, but you have
to make them your own, or people will go "Oh I've seen that on telly
with that bloke" and all the magic is gone.....
