I personally think the original reason people went to UNI was to get
a Job at the end, and you would not belive the amount of 30 Y/O
graduate backpackers cutting about Edinburgh. To them I say "get a
fu**ing Job".
I think there is no reason why you should not do Philosophy,
providing you have the ambition to do vey well and get a first class
honours or even a 2.1. A good honours degree, will make you
employable, to work in most domain areas.
That is me finished UNI now, and out into the real world, and I was
lucky enough to get a decent paid reasearch Job developing IP and
also an MPhill/Phd thrown in as well.
As the french dude in the movie Unfaithful says, "There are no wrong
choices, just what you do and what you don't do"
Ideally i want to cut grass all day, in one of those big tractors,
but no such luck.
As they say "Life is a Garden", Dig it.
