Due to the scenario, i think there may well have
been examples of obedience. But not on scale of
Milgram's experiments, obviously. (A white coat would be
out of place at the track !!!).

In the
betting scene, Derren did not have much time to establish
himself as the authoritative figure.
Which is in my
opinion, why the technique of the bang on the glass was
used, both times, if i remember correctly.

I did
not pick up on the fact that derren excused the
cashier for her mistake. But that is interesting. An
invisible compromise, maybee. Probably used to ensure that
the cashier does not become offensive/defensive.

I have only seen the trick once, on the TV. And so
did not notice everything and certainly can't
remember his exact wording.
I can see that you have, a
knowledge of the trick, have you seen it a few times?.

Hey, and I am no expert hypnotist, and would not
consider myself to have a high level of knowledge.
I
just noticed the bang on the glass, and associated it
with a rapid induction technique that I have used.
Only I bang a table.
There will be people in this
group who are quite more experienced at hypnosis than
myself.

I am only guessing. Maybee we will work it
out?

Did he explain it at the conference?

I wonder
if Derren knows about this site.
If he does, he
might even post.

Cheers,
Gordon Moore
