I wouldn't say that. Derren's manager has tasted the big time
before - he also handles Joe Pasquale (!)

Derren is handling fame well; he hasn't yet disappeared up his own
arse. The time he spends with fans after his shows is a good
indicator of this.

BUT this whole new forum thing is more than a little sly. How could
Lauren refuse to go along with the idea? She did the only thing that
she could have done.

The new forum is being moderated. Daniel Fard put a well reasoned
argument about how it is not magic exposure if someone suggests
Derren is using a prop which is advertised for sale on a public
website. It was zapped. Shame really, it was a worthwhile post and
could have got some debate going.

Here are some questions that none of us will be able to ask on the
new forum (WARNING: YOU MAY NOT WANT TO READ THE NEXT BIT IF YOU
HAVEN'T SEEN THE SHOW OR YOU DON'T WANT TO THINK ABOUT HOW THE
TRICKS MIGHT WORK)

Why is that box with dead friend's belongings so close to the wings?
What is on dead friend's cassette box that people are handed look
at? Does the opening trick of the live show always end the same way?
Does Derren ask spectators if they are pregnant/have heart problems
because he doesn't want to get in the shit when he electrocutes
them? When he does the drawing duplication and puts one drawing in
an envelope, is that envelope really all it seems? Is the bottom
part of the reverse of the whiteboard always taken off at the end of
the first half? If the blind athlete could see, would he have
wondered what on earth was going on behind the camera? Are the ESP
cards that DB uses 100% normal? Why do we never see the faces of the
playing cards used in the sequence with the gamblers on Mind Control
1?
