Subject: Live show

Okay, so I have now seen the live show in its current incarnation.

Some things that I observed: Audience insult humour is not good,
Derren. You like to present yourself as a charming, eccentric
English gentleman so the line about the person in the front row
looking like a tramp is really not condusive to that. It's a cheap
laugh and a cringe-inducing moment.

Peter Clifford and Andy Nyman are credited on the front of the
programme. Very interesting! Mr. Nyman was one of the ones who
didn't want to be credited on the first Mind Control Special. He was
listed in the credits at the end as "A.N." but I suppose that as the
whole Derren thing has been more successful than anyone imagined, he
doesn't mind receiving the credit that he is rightfully due.

I also wonder if Derren worries about fans seeing the same show a
couple of times and sussing out a few things. The opening effect is
the same one that was used at the Tobacco factory last year and
let's face it, uses a principle that is likely to be deduced quite
quickly by any one seeing the show more than once. Even the most
blinkered "NLP practioner" would he hard pressed to disprove that it
is a conjuring trick.
