As a Hypnotherapist, I believe In hypnosis" but cannot put a definitive
explanation on what it is , nor have I heard any definition that is completely
satisfactory for my personal experiences in that state, ditto the experiences
related by my clients during therapy. As for NLP - some of the early stuff
derived from hypnotherapy & psychotherapy are very useful refinements of older
techniques but it isn't a 'universal cure-all' - and 'eye accessing cues' are
not reliable. Much of whats come later in NLP seems very Barnum/Bandwagon/Quick
Buck orientated but thats a subjective opinion. Mnemonics - fascinating - &
infuriating as I'm not a systematic thinker but have encountered the occasional
individual who either naturally or by training have that ability/facility.
