Subject: exposing magic secrets
Hi all, Ive just been reading Mr Heron's response to the exposure of magic
secrets, such as some of Derrens techniques and applaud him for his articulate
argueement against it. Quite simply any aspiring magicians shouldnt want these
secrets exposed since the excitment lies in not the answer but in the journey
of finding out the truth! I would feel cheated if it really was that easy,
because im one of those sad obsessives who likes to find things out 'on my
own.' the pleasure for me of finding things out is the searching, the endless
hours in librarys and old book shops. That way you find out what you want to
and usually more. It would be similar to winning the lottery, you would feel
cheated since once you attained that money the drive to earn it yourself and
become rich would disolve. By all means i think its cool to give clues, like
suggesting good magic shops, good authors etc.... but as Mr Heron said, its a
matter of respect! na na
