Subject: Video's available at International Magic...
Hello All,
One last post before I go to bed... I'm sure most of you are obsessed
with Derren Brown's work so I thought I'd post this one as it is a
treat! I've had these video's for a while now and I realised it's
time to let everyone else know about it :)
At International Magic they host a competition every year in December
for Close-up Magicians to perform and win prizes. Luckily they film
it and put it on video for people to buy... Derren had competed in 2
of those, Andy Nyman had competed in 1.
The names of the Video's are:
* 13th Close-up Competition (feat. Andy Nyman)
* 14th Close-up Competition (feat. Derren Brown)
* 15th Close-up Competition (feat. Derren Brown)
International Magic also sell Lecture Videos where performers teach
some of their tricks and techniques. These videos are for magicians
so if you are interested in learning Magic/Mentalism, these video's
are a must to your collection:
* Andy Nyman Lecture Video (feat. Derren Brown)
* Derren Brown Lecture Video (i'm sure you've all heard of this)
Although Derren didn't win any of the competitions, he did get a
Merit on one for those. His performance was remarkable and he's very
funny - you gotta see it to understand what I mean.
The video's are £25 each and is discounted if you buy more than one,
they are very good value as the competitions are around 3hrs or more!
Watch out for Chan Long (winner of the 15th close-up competition) - a
very good and funny magician! Same with Bob Sheets who was the winner
of the 13th Close-up Competition. Steve Bedwell won the 14th
Competition (a friend of Derren's and was mentioned on his book Pure
Effect in the Credits).
Finally, if you do buy these tapes please do not make copies or
anything like that as International Magic is a very respected
company. If your mate wants a copy then tell them to buy it - it is
very good value for money.
