So, anybody who went to the Yeovil show - thinking about it, the
only trick I remember that didn't really work, was towards the
beginning when Derren got a woman to think of the name of someone
from school. He couldn't get anything, tried a couple of times, and
then told her to sit down. My question is, what went wrong? I
appreciate this is not an exact science and that the tricks don't
always work... but I kind of have a particular interest since the
woman in question (Clare) was MY WIFE! Can't tell you how envious I
was that she was called up rather than me, but gutted that the trick
didn't work! After seeing him do similar things countless times on
his show, and on various chat shows, etc. all with perfect results!
It's a little disturbing, I mean, if Derren doesn't know what's
going on in her head, what chance do I have??? I used to think
Derren was the Devil, now I know that actually my wife is the Devil!
(This being the internet, I suppose I need to add I'm not being
entirely serious throughout the above. Better add a smiley face ;) )
Seriously though, if anyone can offer any insight into why it didn't
work, I'd be most interested. We thought about hanging around to
catch Derren after the show, but had no idea if or when he'd show
up, and Clare had to be up early in the morning... :(
