No coincidence I can assure you.
Derren does something which people are very afraid of. People I talk
to shit themselves and reckon he's some kind of devil. The people
who'll be interested in what he does (i.e us), will have some sort of
obsessive nature and interests that delve into the unknown.
Just out of interest, are people are fans of X-Files, or other
paranormal programmes "The outer limits" perhaps? I certainly am /
was.
I always seem to develop interests in things which are as i stated
before, considered "unknown". I love the feeling of mystery, and
knowing that I'm able to do such and such when no-one else can. Which
is why I was into computer security (or "hacking" as people like to
call it) for a LONG TIME, I even got into trouble with such knowledge.
Hypnosis is another good example. But now as Hypnosis, and nlp
becomes popular, the thing for me that becomes "unknown", which
appeals to me is the covert methods, and about combining the two, or
more areas, to create something totally new, and unique. Just like
what Derren did.
I guess that the majority here are similar. To be a fan of Derren
Brown's work, I guess you do need to have the dark, curious side to
you.
