TWO seconds on yourself? Cool! Once you get it up to 3 or 4 you will find
that the ONLY way to get your hand UNstuck off the table is because you are
able to realise that you are now in control of your unconcious mind - which
is great because it makes it so much easier to go back inside and make it 5
or 6. Then 7 and 8 and by the time you are up to 9 and 10 the next strange
thing happens which is called glove anaesthesia. I do not suggest that you
poke a needle through your hand at this point, not because you can test
that it won't hurt, but because very few people have access to STERILE needles.

Now, just before you try hand-sticking on your next victim, just think
about this, if you do just what Derren did, in the same way that he did it,
you will get the same success rate as he gets.

Go into a trance - mentally drive around the M25 or wait for a train (or
your own favourite method of getting into trance.) As you are
driving/waiting feel youself mentally realising Derren. Let the slow dawn
of realisation enter your mind has all the facets and accolades of this
great performer. When you feel that you are now right inside his mindset,
when you can see other drivers/passengers gimpsing at you and whispering
"isn't that that bloke off the tele?" to their friends, <rub your thumbs
together> and allow yourself to come out of trance. Repeat ad-nauseum.

After you have done this the right number of times, (some people get it
after one or two times others can struggle and find that it takes maybe 4
or 5 times) you can now <rub your thumbs together> and go right back into
that mindset whenever you like.

Go into this state and watch a few episodes of MC, you will now find his
mannerisms and gestures start to become second nature to you. At the
moment you say to yourself "i knew he was about to do <that>" then you're
there!

You may find yourself at parties going up to people and saying "wanna see
something really cool?" whilst <rubbing your thumbs together>

Once you've seen it work a few times, you can do it in your own style and
save yourself all the hassle of <rubbing your thumbs together>
