There is a world of difference between the way men view their chums
and their object of desire and pursuit.

Much more manipulation on so many levels (from both parties) in the
latter relationship, and I think its disingenuous to say otherwise.

It's all about the extreme imbalance, in this case. It must be a
problem to some degree, in that one has so much more power over the
other. And for most males, a woman he sees as having less personal
power than himself inevitably begin to bore him sooner rather than
later.

I'm just saying what is, rather than how one would like it to be.
