It is indeed advertising blurb, but I just thought the pictures were funny. As
for explaining the effects - isn't throat (goat) reading enough? Surely this
explains why Derren never tries to read anyones mind who's wearing a polo
neck...?
A challenge eh? Well one of Derrens effects was on sale on ebay a while ago and
was linked to from here; Banacheks 'psychokinetic touch' effect, although
Derren did change the method just slightly. You can also buy it from the
Banachek site, amongst other magic sites/shops. So there's one for you. And it
has no psychological basis to its effect whatsoever. It's just a trick. Buy it,
its only cheap, and then the originator of the effect will get some cash as
well, the effect isn't 'spoilt' here, and everyones happy.

If we are all wasting our time cooking up 'fanciful' methods then please
enlighten us with how he is REALLY doing it. Pick an effect and explain it to
us......I challenge you!

It just wouldn't be the same then though would it? Goat reading was good, and
I also enjoyed the one that claimed to put the reader into trance whilst
thinking she/he thought about the clothes touching their skin, and another one
that talked about 'confusion', (by 'yrret'?), which DID confuse me, although
I'm not sure for the right reasons.
Also quite liked the argument between Blue Chip and KillerB that seemed to
centre around the correct/incorrect use of 'emoticons'....quality.
Incidentally, for those who ARE interested in the way Derren REALLY does
EVERYTHING, try here:

Apparently it's the next thing after NLP..
(I must hasten to add that this website is nothing to do with me, nor is the
gentleman featured, but I did find the pictures exceptional...)

LOL, or DO read it! No-one is going to get too wise about any of
Derren's methods by reading this group :-). Even a non-magic fool
like me knows this isn't really the best place to learn about them!
It's just that I think a little bit of me died the day I learned
about Goat Reading. That IS what Derren does, isn't it?

I think coming up with mad theories is FANTASTIC, arguing about
method is BORING, and yes I have been on about this before!

That's why I honestly think Mind Control Masters would be the perfect
place for people to discuss method (by which I mean argue about NLP
vs Marigold Gloves, as opposed to coming up with cool theories about,
for example, a robot that Derren secretly controls). After all, from
what I've seen posted here, many of the debaters have legitimate
claims to be mind control masters themselves, having had quite some
success with goats.

[Er, by the way...this is a compliment to your newly formed group
Joel! More than that, I'm sure you'll agree, um...I've just come up
with a great first topic for it?! ]
