I agree, it does stand out a bit, doesn't it? After all, he's gone to
the trouble of actually asking her to clarify her name for him, and
then he goes and gets it wrong. If it was my name, I would have been
screaming "Lean-DA" at him (in my head of course, i'm v. polite), and
it seems she was too - she admitted that she was thinking of "D" and
earlier, "A". He knew already, naturally - that's magic, i guess. Of
course he had warned her that he didn't want to put any iDEEas in her
head...

I'm not really interested in how he does his magic, though. It's the
fact that it works for him that's fascinating. When it comes to
explanations, I tend to put my fingers in my ears.
