Was'nt necessarily aimed at my course, and I'm sure that he was
talking about NLP in General, as there are alot of expensive courses
out there.

I've tried to be very careful & clear on that point, my course is
on:
Persuasion in Everyday Situations.
In fact Simon (who runs the Derren master mentalist Sight)a sked me
if i wanted to advertise the course on his site,
I did'nt because I wanted to provide a seminar on NLP and Persuasion
not Mind Reading, becuse even I know that Derren has alot of "other
Methods" going on!
However on the point of NLP training, there are very few trainers
out there that I highly rate, in fact most of them are American, and
can acually use the skills they teach
I'm sure you all remember being at school,
And you has those teachers that scared you, or who bullied you into
learning as they droned on and on
And then there where your favourite teachers who had the ability
to make your learning fun, the teachers who made you smile, where
you enjoyed a class ,as well as you learning the information!
Its the same with NLP there are good and bad courses, there is no
point academically studying NLP, if you can't go out and teach it
in a fun and exciting way!
I was out with a master practitioner last week, and we were
discussing my version of rapport,which is slightly different to the
NLP Model, he was academically arguing aginst my case, but as two
other MPs pointed out to him, he was copying all my gestures using
my trance words and as he sat there I was leading him comftably &
totally.
Needless to say we ended up having a good night and hes asked me out
for a dink to explain my method in more depth, and thats the whole
point of communication!
Academic understanding is not enough, you have to be able to use it
and teach it in a fun and exciting way, and more importntly without
the £500 price tag!!
