Try his letter suggesting routines. He likes to mispronounce peoples
names. Listen to the Joe Whiley tape and spot why the girl choses the
letter she does. See if you can guess before she speaks - actually, pause
it before she decides and think about it carefully.

Now watch the Oxford Uni routine with "Isssssssssssable" and he will tell
you "Isssssssssssable yes? It is not the FIRST letter or your name, not the
FIRST letter". "If you think" <change in tone of voice> "Im trying to
suggest something to you" <knit fingers to look like an S> <nod a few
times>. As I write the letter down I will say "sssssssssssssssssssssss"
and move the squeaky pen in an S motion. "Now put the card on your hand
ESS" What letter have i been shouting and miming for the last minute, you
know the misproNUNciation of your name - quickly now, before you have a
chance of some kind of independant thought to slip in and screw my trick up....

Now start making it up and see what works - if you want to be perfect first
time every time, give up now - you will never be any good. If you are
prepared to practice a few new routines and perfect them you can soon have
something that only YOU will understand - no TV special on it ;)
