Well much of it was the same but we learn also that Derren has a
master memory. He uses an old roman trick called loci whereby for
remembering cards he has a card room with 52 objects. To remember 4
shuffled packs of cards he has 3 stickers on each object - if it
comes up then he removes a sticker in his mind. Of course he is
banned from casinos - this sort of stuff has been covered before by
the great Dominic O'Brien - but Derren has all the skills I would
like to have - speed reading, great memory and great at magic and
mentalism.

Also on a gambling theme he can work out how many cards have been
picked up from a pack and can keep track of shuffled packs using
this technique. He shuffled the pack and then asked her to think of
a card and he found it in the pack by going straight to it - whether
this is one of his card tricks or not - I am not sure.

He said that should vote on 22 on roulette - he lost all his money
though as number rolled was next to 22 (would have won around 90k -
I'm sure he has enough money already).

Also new was a bit he did at Oxford University where he did some
simple feats where he got them to write a letter on a piece of card -
saying stuff like hmmmm for m and sssss for s - fairly obvious.

The pickpocketing thing was funny as people didn't notice as he
repeatedly nicked things without them noticed - including removing
their ties, watches, wallets, mobile phones... - he would return
them and while asking whether they have everything will nick
something that he has previously returned.

Also utilised an old jail for a couple of stunts - one was where he
was in one cell and guy was in the other - he got him to cross his
arms - by asking him about his parents getting cross and got him to
touch his ear (saying something like touching to hear - can't
remember exactly). Also got him to draw on blackboard what he was
drawing and to touch a point on the wall where he had drawn on the
other side.

He got a guy who could defeat a lie detector (a car salesman
surprise surprise) and could tell where he is lying and also
influence the lie detector on persons behalf.

That is all I can remember at the mo - but sure other people can
comment on the other bits.

I did find I could see more auditory cues than I did first time
watching and after watching the site - particularly the shopping
centre where he got people to lift their arms - lots of things
thrown in there. Also with the greyhounds notice how he says WINdow

Cheers

Paul
