pure effect is a great book , chiefly dealing in card
magic .
with some genuinely exciting card routines , with alot
of the rhetoric behind derrens performance style , and
what he thinks make for good magic as a reaction in
his audience , something that sticks in the memory .
there isnt much actual practical mind reading per.se
but the tool are there to continue and develope your
own style and effect , that a creative mind could
apply to many tricks to give them that more believable
feel , that derren has .
