My theory is, that's the objective!! By shocking the women, (even
momentarily shocking her), Derren puts her in the state of mind where
she 'has to' accept the next suggestion which she recieves. This
happens to be a few subliminal messages by him; 'That's why we came
to this Win-dow'.
I have to admit though, when derren gave the women that little
£10 'tip'. I did really feel for her. It was rather ruthless on
Derren's part, but I can only imagine what his intentions by that
were. When he then asks what she was 'doing' paying out money for a
losing ticket, she then started getting really upset and confused.
That's when I felt sorta bad...
Did you hear the way Derren says "have a drink on us/me"? It was very
patronising. I'm sure though, that no harm was intended by it.

I'm going to get that book soon. I'm hoping to acquire a library of
mentalism, nlp, and hypnosis books, so I can properly learn what
Derren is doing!! It's an absolute priceless skill to have in my
opinnion.
