Using Derren's own programmes and this list as a resource:

1) He used an identical technique with one of a set of twins to
induce an 'increased state of synergy' with the other one. Might want
to record the show & compare.

2) I believe the 'train thing' (names for these is a bit of a
problem) is called a wipe. It's a bit hit & miss, as the programme
demonstrated. I've actually tried it on friends, and though I wasn't
as successful as DB, I did OK. I didn't do the spiel beforehand,
though, which contained suggestions about forgetting stops. Nobody
can say how DB himself did because we haven't any access to the
unedited footage. I doubt they got the crew out to talk to just half
a dozen people.

3) I've seen the photoreading routine done on (I think it was)
Parkinson; well, the programme used a clip from Parkinson at any
rate. The name of the performer escapes me, but I seem to remember he
made a good job out of an almost failed attempt at it. Also, other
performers commenting on this guy's techniques said that if you knew
how close to the wind he was sailing when he did these feats, you'd
be sweating for him.
It was a long show about magic & stuff thet had a section about (The
Amazing) Kreskin, Max Maven etc. Can't remember what it was called,
sorry.
