Thanks killerb for that great suggestion – I looked into it, and
http://www.freeservers.com/ offer a 0.5G/month transfer limit – which
works out to around 16.6MB/day, which is ok, however, 150m.com
(according to their error message, anyway) are giving me 20MB/day!
I'll just have to shift the large pics and one pdf document over to
geocities. Thanks for the suggestion tho.
Since you know more about hosting than me, if I was to buy a domain
from somewhere like uk2.net, would it be worth it – and would it be
worth *paying* (my god, what a horrible word) for decent hosting? As
you can proably guess, I have lived off free hosting all my life!
To make this post useful to the non-computer literature amoung you,
I'm sure you have seen this on derrenbrown.co.uk already, but DO NOT
FORGET TO TAPE:
-November 2nd, E4, 10pm-1am Derren's --entire-- new 6-part series
-Derren will also be on "Rise" (Channel 4) the next morning
If you, LIKE ME, are poor and cannot afford E4/digital, DO WHAT I DO,
and rave on about Derren to someone you know has E4, and then
casually ask if they could do you a favour, then request them to TAPE
it FOUR you.
(did you notice then Derren-like commands in the last paragraph? – I
think I need a little more practice! What can I say? - I'm a novice!)
