Subject: Re: Impending interview -- advice needed!

It is a mine field.

From an email i received a while ago from Paul Hallas

"When it comes to hypnotism as entertainment I would be a little wary
of moving into that area. Equity (actors and performers union)
insurance have stopped covering lawsuits for hypnosis so I would
think there must have been a lot of cases brought against hypnotists
in the past few years... "

On a more personal note, i have not made one penny from performing
hypnotism, since i am still and will be for a few years to
come ,learning my trade. Most of work I do is with friends and family
as well as wasting many a few hours of my girlfriend's time. I have
also been known to demonstrate 'amazing' feats on the train from
Edinburgh to Falkirk.

I am quite happy to earn my living as a mere software engineer until
such times that i have an immense wizardry of hypnosis and the
public's interest and ignorance is not quite so bad. It may be a
good thing that the state of the industry has given me time to
practice before rushing into a probably doomed career as a budding
Svengali.

One day my friend, one day. Hah hah hah !!!!

Cheers, Gordon
