Subject: hallucination's

I suppose its fair to say that the imagined spoon bending were hypnotically
induced hallucinations,
Is it possible to induce a visual hallucination in a subject without going
through a recognizable or lengthy induction/deepening procedure.
If its possible then why not do a real version of the invisible man?
