Subject: you've got a little itchy feeling, is it just there on your nose......?

i have a queation for all the women who are part of
this forum. let me as u what u see in derren brown. as
a magician as well i have studied nlp and such like
for many years and wonder why the women r so enthraled by

I have a question for whoever wrote this question, I hope you dont think I
am being pedantic but I was wondering, did you consider that actually the
percentage of the population who are enthralled by derren is miniscule, less
than 0.001% in fact.I think it is reasonable to assume those who are
enthralled by him are on this board and there is only a few who would say
they are. Or did you realise this and come along because you realised that
being skilled in similar areas, this would be the ideal place to find women
who appreciate an air of authority and mystery.

Just a thought...

BTW

Early on Derren demonstrated how he detects when people are lying to him. I
have been playing around with this myself and the key I realise is too quite
forcefully control the attention of your spectator. This is really easy to
do by the way. Just have a list of questions that all involve your spectator
accessing his/her visual memory and fire them off rapidly one by one not
giving them a chance too think. notice the eye accessing movements and you
cant fail to spot the break in the pattern. Its really easy!
I have now developed such a confidence in my ability to do this that I
welcome people trying to catch me out. Heres one you can all try...

First get a volunteer and ask them if they will help you as you are training
your body language skills. (this sets them in a frame of mind that they want
you to be able to do this as much as you do)
Once you have secured the assistance of someone helpful say
"In a moment i'll give you some time to bring a memory to your mind, Five
questions concerning that memory will follow please lie to me one one of
your answers. okay?"
Ensure they understand and continue quite rapidly
"See in your mind an image of your home, how many windows are on the front
of your home?"
Await response
"What colour is the nearest vehicle to your house in the image?"
"Going inside now, what colour is the floor in your front room?"
"What colour are the walls in a bathroom in the house?"
"How many large plants are there in the garden?"

What do you look for.. well, as most of you know when accessing visual
memorys the eyes flicker away from looking at you, in the majority of people
they will flicker up and to the left, anything that detracts from that will
likely be the lie. 90% of the time the lie will be accompanied by a shift in
body movement, probably a movement somewhere from the waist down.
It is really easy, just ensure aswell that the questions are not really easy
and that they do have to think and pull the information from pictures in
their mind.
Even after you get the first one right you can explain how you are
accomplisihing this to the person and still have it work the second and
third times so long as you are forceful and have the questions thought out.
If you are finding someone a bit of a challeng or you think they might be
really good liars, like salesmen and company executives then you can make it
even easier for yourself by explaining that everyone when they lie makes a
body motion usually in the hands and that they should focus on not moving
their hands or any thing, this ensures that they focus their attention on A)
the question b) not giving anything away, and if they are thinking about all
that they cant also be thinking about eye movements.
Anyway you should try it if you havent already and share you're thinking on
some questions to ask with the group, These techniques are in use all around
the world by people in various proffessions namely the police, solicitors,
your employers?? and certainly many peoples parents! and many others. To
understand them is vital to practise them can be alot of fun.

Phil

How many of you scratched your noses????
Come one be honest.
