I dont think it was the light or hypnosis guys-perhaps just a
combination of suggestion and non-verbal influence, if you look at
the position of his arms and hands during the trick you will then
notice the upturned glass/mug in between them, as the girls
concentrate on the upturned glass he begins to slowly move his hands
and arms in unison in one direction or the other-thus creating the
impression of independant movement from the glass/mug. The mental
institution is just a nice setting to fog the mind and add credence
to the power of the illusion,but then again I could be completely
wrong-that's the power of the pot noodle.
