I have to say that DB did the coin trick with me
in Bristol, and did not switch the coin. He did
suggest using a £1 coin, and the reasons he gave were
that is was a) the right size and b)had a high
perceived value which makes the subject more likely to give
things away. Also, I said 'tails' at the end, and was
right. It may be a trick still, but it was very
convincing.
Just some thoughts.
