I've started training with the Institute of
Clinical Hypnotherapy at Kings College in London...bearing
in mind that I've only done one weekend of the three
weekend foundation, I can honestly say that if I don't
turn up for the other two I'll still have got value
for money!! The only drawback is that due to the
ego-strengthening hypnotic trance I (and the rest of the class)
were subjected to, I seem to be incapable of
procrastinating, which for me is very odd!
Oh, and by the
way, with regards to the medical student with the dead
hand, this effect is called 'analgesia', which is
anaesthetising of a given bodily area rather than the whole body
itself...whilst I only learnt what it was called this weekend,
I've got a sneaky suspicion I'll be able to tell you
all more after my second weekend of the course. I'm
pretty sure Derren has done something to them
beforehand...listen to what he says: 'It's like a blueness...a
blueness in the hand' I know the stroking also plays some
part but I'm not telling!!
