I think it was mostly to do with suggestion, much
in the same way he can make you think a cup is
moving on the table. He 'touched' them with quite a
jerky action - I tried it and if you have your eyes
cloes, you can feel the air moving. I think he also used
the fact that they are /particularly/ fussy about
people touching them to his advantage - he did make a
big fuss about that point.
