So he influences what card they will think of and
then picks up on whether they've picked up his
signals? I noticed on the coin trick after the first guess
Derren crosses his fingers over as he tells the guy to
put the coin behind his back again, perhaps to
influence the guy to swap hands.
There's a great
book that explains all of his techniques. It's called
"Jedi Mind Tricks" by an Obi-Wan Kenobi. I don't know
if it's been published on this planet yet but you
can get it mail-order from the Dagobah system.
