Having been involved in cathedral music nearly constantly since 1986 with job titles including chorister, choral scholar, deputy lay vicar, and deputy lay clerk, it was a delight to be appointed a Lay Vicar in the stall of Pipa Parva at Lichfield Cathedral in 2011.
My connection with Lichfield and interest in cathedral music and the Internet has led to the creation of a couple of websites which I continue to manage today:
Lichfield Cathedral Choir's Website (www.cathedralchoir.org.uk)
first launched in 2000, this is one of the oldest websites about a cathedral choir and contains a wealth of historical information and news about the choir and its activities.
The choir also has a Facebook page, a twitter stream (@lichfieldchoir) which, amongst other things, tweets details of choral services at which the Cathedral Choir is singing, and a YouTube channel sharing archive television and radio broadcasts, recordings and services.
Lichfield Cathedral Music List Transcription Project (www.cathedralmusic.org.uk)
launched in 2020, this is a website to allow for the transcription of digitised historical records from Lichfield Cathedral.
The BCP Psalms of David (www.psalter.org.uk)
a very simple (and intentionally so) reference website containing the text of the Psalms of David "pointed as they are to be sung or said in churches" as printed in the Book of Common Prayer.
