Darke, Harold (Edwin) (b London, 29 October, 1888 - d Cambridge, 28 November, 1976)
Darke studied with Parratt and Stanford at the Royal College of Music and was organist of St Michael's, Cornhill, London for 50 years from 1916; he also taught at the RCM for 50 years from 1919. He was a greatly admired organist in the central English tradition and composed a number of organ and choral works.
