- Batten, Adrian (b Salisbury, baptised 1 March, 1591 - d London, 1637)
- Batten was a chorister at Winchester Cathedral, and then a lay vicar at Westminster Abbey from 1614 until 1626, and a vicar choral at St Paul's Cathedral. He surviving works are all sacred and include services and over forty anthems, competently crafted in a devotional, restrained style. He was probably also the copyist of the important Batten Organbook, an extensive source of English church music.
