Mudd, Thomas ( - d ?Durham, buried 2 August, 1667)
Mudd was from a musical family, and was a chorister at Peterborough Cathedral from 1619, and subsequently organist there from 1631/2. He moved to become organist at Lincoln Cathedral in 1662, and Exeter Cathedral in 1664. He worked briefly at York Minster from 1666. Services and anthems in manuscript form ascribed to 'Mudd', may be by him, or other members of his family.
